Registration is now open for the fifth annual PETCO National Chihuahua Races where the petite pooches will compete for the crown of fastest Chihuahua in America.

Beginning in August, a series of regional competitions will be held on both coasts and in the Mid West. The regional winners will receive an all-expense-paid trip courtesy of PETCO and Jet Blue to run in the finals in New York City on Aug. 29.

In addition to bragging rights, America’s fastest Chihuahua will win a trophy, a $300 PETCO gift card and a year’s supply of Royal Canin Chihuahua food.

The races will also promote the search for permanent homes for abandoned Chihuahuas and other animals through the PETCO foundation’s Think Adoption First philosophy. To register your pet for the National Chihuahua Races, visit Petco.com/races.

  1. Chihuahuas are awesome.
Fast ones, slow ones, in-between ones.
Finding homes for abandoned Chihuahuas is also awesome.

    Petco, however, is not awesome.

Petco is not responsible about what products they carry (they sell Hartz, Sergeant’s, Bio Spot, etc., in spite of the fact that these products have poisoned and killed thousands of cats and dogs).

They also have a history of animal abuse and neglect which is well documented.
