Health watch: FDA approves canine cancer drug

The first drug made specifically to treat cancer in canines has been approved by the FDA.

The drug, called Palladia, is manufactured by Pfizer Animal Health Inc. to treat a type of cancer that accounts for about one in five cases of canine skin tumors.
