Biden buys puppy

It’s a sad day for shelter dogs dreaming of being the vice dog. Vice President-elect Joe Biden just bought a German Shepherd puppy from a breeder in East Coventry, Penn. Though it was likely a reputable breeder and not a puppy mill, it still makes us sad that he chose to buy his dog instead of save the life of one of many dogs in shelters and rescues. We still have high hopes Obama will follow through with his promise to adopt.

The article reports  that the puppy will remain with a trainer until after the inauguration. The soon-to-be-named pup will be taught proper manners and be housebroken before arriving in DC. Sounds like somebody wants all the fun of a puppy without the dirty work!
