After about 2 weeks of treatment at the vet, Sadie, Oprah’s 3-month-old Cocker Spaniel puppy, has returned home and is recovering well. Sadie and her littermate, Ivan, contracted Parvovirus, which leads to diarrhea and severe dehydration. Unfortunately, Ivan passed away on the weekend of March 14-15.
Oprah adopted Sadie and Ivan from PAWS, a no-kill shelter in Chicago, where they were given all the appropriate vaccinations before being available for adoption.
Tails wants to send all the best to Oprah and Sadie as she continues to recover.

I hope Sadie continues to heal! I have a Cocker Spaniel named Nancy Reagan, who was rescued from a horrible case of abuse/neglect in Brooklyn, New York. My heart goes out to them!
The Pennsylvania SPCA has had many Cocker Spaniels these past few months, so remember our shelter if you’re looking to adopt one. We get so many animals, it’s best to check back daily. Our website is: http://www.pspca.org/adoption_centers
