Although she apparently has her own line of merchandise and even a book, this is the first I’ve heard of Tama the Tabby, a stray cat that was named “Station Master” of a Japanese railway company. Awww. Tama has been credited with a 10 percent increase in revenue for the company.

Ha! Cats rule. I visited Japan once and didn’t see all that many stray cats. Maybe the Japanese are better about keeping them inside?
